Welcome to No. 4. These terms apply when you book directly with us. By making a booking you confirm that you have read and accept them.
In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean the owner of No. 4 High Terrace, New Quay, Ceredigion. “You” means the person making the booking and everyone in your party.
1. Booking and payment
A non refundable deposit of 25% of the total price is payable at the time of booking to secure your dates.
The balance is due 28 days before arrival.
Where a booking is made 28 days or less before the first day of the stay, the full price is payable on booking
If the balance is not paid by the due date we may treat the booking as cancelled by you, and our cancellation terms will apply.
Payments are taken securely through Stripe. We do not store your card details.
The person making the booking must be at least 18 years old and is responsible for the whole party.
2. Cancellation and refunds
If you need to cancel, please tell us in writing at stay@no4newquaywales.co.uk as soon as you can.
If you cancel your booking 28 days or fewer before the first day of your stay, or you fail to arrive, no refund will be made and the full price of the booking remains payable.
We may be able to offer a change of dates instead of a cancellation, subject to availability. Any difference in price will be payable.
We strongly recommend travel insurance to cover cancellation for reasons outside your control.
If we have to cancel your booking for any reason, you will receive a full refund of everything you have paid us. This is the limit of our responsibility in those circumstances.
3. Arrival and departure
Check-in: from 4pm
Check-out: by 11am
We will do our best to accommodate an earlier arrival or later departure where the changeover allows. Please ask in advance.

5. Damage
You are responsible for the property and its contents during your stay, and for any damage or loss caused by you or your party beyond fair wear and tear.
Please tell us about any breakages before you leave so we can put things right for the next guests. We do not charge for minor accidental breakages.
We do not take a security deposit. Where damage goes beyond the minor and accidental, we reserve the right to recover the reasonable cost of repair or replacement.
6. Our liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Subject to that, we are not responsible for loss or damage to your belongings, or to vehicles or their contents, while you are at the property. Please secure the property when you go out.
Subject to the first bullet point above, our total liability arising from your booking is limited to the total price you have paid for the stay.
Nothing in these terms affects your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
7. Events outside our control
We are not liable for any failure to perform, or delay in performing, our obligations where that is caused by events outside our reasonable control — including severe weather, flood, fire, natural disaster, loss of utilities, epidemic or pandemic, and government restrictions. If such an event prevents your stay, we will refund the sums you have paid for the affected nights.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
